towerfalls

Can u still hike to the bottom of this waterfall...im asking cause I thought I had read that u cannot anymore.

The trail is blocked to the bottom of the Fall. BTW, this is the only waterfall in the park that is a *Fall* not a *Falls*, lol.

That article u linked speaks of walking down part of the trail and then up the river a ways to get to the bottom. So I wont get into trouble not walking on established trails. I know some parks r veryvery particular about people staying on established paths etc

There is a trail that is open and it goes to the river, but the section that goes to the view of Tower Fall is blocked. The rest is an official trail that is open along the river. You can't see the Fall from there, though so it's a lot of work for not much reward. There is a viewing platform along a path from the parking area where you can see the Fall. You do need to stay on established paths and you heed the signs for closures or wildlife near the trail.

That general store also has good ice cream!

Wear good traction footwear since the path down to the river is a bit steep & can be slippery.
