Hi javiermelgoza, and welcome to TripAdvisor forums.

I'm really not sure what you're asking.

Most campsites have a softer flat area where you can set up tents. This double site looks extra large and appropriate for RVs, so I certainly wouldn't set up a tent in the parking pad. We have some huge nails that we use with our car camping tent. How sturdy are your tent pegs?

This is the number for the campground office, but I don't know if it's staffed during the winter: 209-372-8502

I assume you're making plans for the 7 am Jan 15th reservation call in session. Good luck!

Here is the link from the Recreation.gov reservation website: recreation.gov/campsiteDetails.do…

"Shade, near entrance. Must have at least 7 people and no more than 12. All camping equipment and camping related activies must stay within the defined area. Site has two food lockers, two tables and one campfire/grill."

I have same question~ and cant get a straight answer from NPS. We don't have a trailer and took first shot at a site as its our first time going as family.

We have plenty of tents (cots, air mattress) and all kinds of stakes. but will staff hassle us if its loose asphalt and 5 tents (11 people) are staked to the ground?

I am not sure what you mean by loose asphalt, but you may have a problem. From the NPS site:

•A maximum of six people (including children) are allowed per campsite. There is no limit on the number of tents (as long as they all fit into the campsite).
