Another hantavirus case, possible High Sierra Camps link

Just a heads up. So far today I've gotten two emails and an automated call notifying me that there's been another case of hantavirus, this time in someone who stayed at several of the High Sierra Camps in July Fortunately, this person has recovered. Although he or she stayed at the camps, it's still unknown where he or she caught it.

I have to say, they're doing an excellent job of notifying people about the possible risk.

Yes, they are. This was reported earlier on other threads (don't want people to think there's an extra case of high country hantavirus). It's not known where, exactly, the high country case was contracted, but it was a much milder case.

Oops - sorry, I didn't see a thread about the high country case. Sorry to start an extraneous thread.

Hantavirus is carried by deer mice, not field mice.
