Scenic Routes from San Francisco to Yosemite West to Sonoma

Looking for scenic routes from San Francisco (june 1) to Yosemite West then finally to Sonoma. Also, looking for a large grocery store outside the park where I can stock up on groceries. Staying one week in Yosemite with a full kitchen. And does anyone know the distance and driving time from Yosemite West to Tuolumne? Thank you

The historical town of Sonoma or somewhere else in vast County of Sonoma? Please give us you destination in "Sonoma".

This is my trip exactly, but traveling in October of this year. We have 10 days. Is this a doable trip? In Sonoma, we are heading to healdsburg. Do we have time to go south to Big Sur.

Hi straul

Please start your own thread on the California state forum page. That's the best place for planning a multi-destination itinerary. Share your travel style and info about your travel group. Pop back over to the Yosemite NP forum page for details about your time in this fabulous National Park. (Get lodging now!)

When we first arrived in California in 1959 we drove to Yosemite via the back way. That was the Big Oak Flat Road (Hwy 120). It was a very nice drive. When we were younger we also stayed at the Curry facility at Tuolumne Meadows, a completely different experience than down at Yosemite Valley
