Cheap but cheerful hotels in Ngapali!

Can any one recommend a private owned midrange hotel? At the moment I'm looking at Linthaoo Lodge and Ngapali Beach Hotel.

With thanks

The Royal Beach rates better over the Lin Tha Oo, the foods not up to much but the staff are extra friendly, plenty of good restaurants to choose from not far from the hotel itself.

Do you know the rate for a beach front bungalow at Royal Beach? Do they have AC? I read a while ago that Lin Thar OO was cheaper than Royal. I guess that that has changed. Thanks for any information you can share.

Amata is certainly not cheap and cheerful.

Pricey and stylish, more like.

Thank you everyone for your advice and time in responding. I have decided on Silver Sands Hotel because they seemed to have the best reviews. I will report in!

Kind regards

It seems that Royal Beach Motel and Lin Thar OO are the only places in my budget. I hope some travelers who stay or take a look at these two options will let me know what you think of each. Or if you discover others in that price range, please share that as well. Thanks so much!

We were at Ngapali in Jan 2011 and stayed at Amata - great but expensive. There is a place next door called Laguna Lodge which was cheap and looked nice with beach front rooms. We met some friends who were staying at a place on the North end of the beach called Memento. They liked it and had stayed there before.
