We are trying to figure how to get from Lofoten to Bodo on May 3, 2011. We know there is a car ferry from Moskenes, but can't come up with complete information on either car or passenger ferries from Svolvaer or Stamsund. Is there anything that departs during the day? Help!!!! :) Marcia

The car ferries between Lofoten an the mainland are Moskenes-Bodø, Svolvær-Skutøy and Lødingen-Bognes. They are all operated by Torghatten-Nord, you wil find the time tables here: www.torghatten-nord.no/english/default.aspx

The Bodø to Stamsund/Svolvær connection is by ship and there is only one sailing per day from Bodø.

See www.hurtigruten.com - you will need to look at the northbounmd timetable.
