Isla Canela is a beautiful unspoilt area of Costa de la luz. It has an award winning blue flag beach and a marina. There's lots to do and there are places to go and see nearby. Punta del moral is a traditional Spanish fishing village and it is situated beside Isla Canela marina .There is a good selection of restaurants and bars around the marina area and good fish restaurants in Punta del Moral. The lovely traditional Spanish town of Ayamonte is 10 mins away by car and there is a bus service. You can cross over to Portugal by ferry very cheaply and it only takes about 10 mins.

Well worth a visit.

The best thing about the area is that its the total opposite of the Costa Del Sol and places like Puerto Banus..............no bling in sight!

There's also a wonderful beach with sand dunes that stretches for miles.

The Isla Canela Golf course is fine and has very reasonable rates (if you play golf)

There's not much nightlife, but who cares.

The Riu Atlantico is excellent (as are all Rius) and It's just been refurbed.

We're going in a couple of weeks (4th visit).

Some lovely little fish restaurants in Punta Morel and Ayamonte is a charming town.

Faro is also worth a visit.

A week is just about right
