El Conquistador/Las Casitas Activities and Nightlife

My wife and I are debating staying at Las Casitas during an upcoming trip to PR. Can anyone tell us what amenities/activities are included? For example, at St. Regis, sailboats kayaks snorkel equipment is free. Is this the same here?

Also, at night, is the resort completely dead? I know it is not going to be a wild club scene but I would appreciate a lively scene at the hotel bar(s).

Sorry Adam, Plan on early to bed. El Con doesn't have a big lobby bar. Even the casino is gone. It had a small dance club, but I don't know if that is still operating. There may be a small bar in that area. Perhaps the Marina bar is active these days.

Nothing is free here, even the non-mototized stuff. Las Casitas is dead quiet at night. There sometimes are parties at the main hotel, but they mostly are private events. There is a nice bar on level 2 and an activity/game room and bar on level one, but they were pretty quiet when we were there. We like the quiet so it suited us well, but I'd imagine those seeking nightlife might want to explore off-resort options.

Thanks for the advice. Would we be any better off at the Wyndam Rio Mar or St. Regis? We definitely don't want to be in San Juan but we don't wan to feel so isolated at night either.

Thanks,!

In Fajardo at least there is the Bio bay tour that you can do at night.

All three hotels are similar in night entertainment , but the Wyndham has casino if that is ok for you.

All these cater to a relax vacation, so night entertainment is having a nice expensive dinner.

Hi, just read another post you have regarding nightlife and comparing San Juan to Miami style and I would like to add just a few other notes.

The three hotels you are asking about have actually no night life, except for the casino mentioned in my previous post. They do have bars, but expect to see a few guest that did not bring with them their own rum. Drinks at the St. Regis average $18 each!!! $8-12 in El Con & Wynd.Plus you need a car just to go anywhere, in all hotels. Not to mentioned the taxi fare to get there ($80 each way)

When comparing San Juan to Miami, is in regards to a very lively nightlife, dressing style, you can see many side by side restauranst, bars, and small shops. There are many people walking out at night, jogging, or just taking a stroll. There are hotels, Family oriented condos, Private houses, things to do depending on your taste.

Not all is high rises, there are many open green areas for everyone to relax and enjoy the scenery, "La Ventana", "Parada del ultimo Trolley", etc.

So, if you are looking for a hotel with some nightlife, I would sugest "El San Juan hotels" in Isla Verde area.

I spent a weekend at Rio Mar last year. There was no nightlife other than a pool party attended only by a few teenagers.
