Questions about travel to Fajardo in late November

We are planning a trip to Fajardo in late November. One of the items on our list is to do the

Bio Bay tour. I realize we have to schedule this way in advance because they sell out quickly.

Can anyone give me a sense of what the weather might be like in late November and more specifically if it rains, do the tours still go out? Alternatively, if the tour is cancelled because of weather, do they rebook you for the next day? We will only be there for 3 days.

Thanks for any advice.

1. Re: Questions about travel to Fajardo in late November

Tours in the biobay typically run ... rain or shine (well, they're at night ... so not so much "shine").

Actually, the biobay in the rain is extra special because (1) the rain clouds block the moon and make it darker (so the glow of the bay is brighter), and (2) each raindrop that falls in the biobay "lights up".

If the trip was canceled due to weather, and the tours are sold out for the next day, too ... then there would be no space to reschedule the canceled trip.

The permits granted to operators in the biobay limit the number of trips/night and people/trip that they can take into the biobay. So they can't just "add another trip" to handle a prior trip that was canceled.

Thanks for your quick response. However, since you did mention "shine" might we expect mostly "shine" during the day that time of year?

The weather in PR is very similar to Miami, all year round: hot with a slight chance of short showers.
