Must we get a 'day rate' to use airport hotels pools?

Hi,

If we're keen to relax near the airport for 5 hours or so - with use of a pool in one of the places - but not bothered about having a room as such (I'm yet to enquire as to the costs for 'day rates' I've seen people mention)... is it quite likely we have to purchase a day rate or something similar to use the pool?

I understand the room may be slightly useful for getting changed - but apart from that we wouldn't use it so just wondering what others have done. (We wouldn't want to be sneaking around though and the hotels look too small to blend in (as some people do in big resorts!)- just interested in whatever is acceptable to do in using the facilities) Thanks!

We usually stay at Raffles Gateway (opposite the airport gates) for overnighters, but on a couple of occasions when we had an afternoon to fill in before a flight have gone there and asked to use the pool. On both occasions they gave us towels for a minimal cost and we were able to use the showers by the pool for changing. - its probably 3 years since we last did it, and we may have been recognised as regular guests - but well worth a try. They have a great pool and pleasant gardens and you can purchase food at their snack/coffee bar.

Contact the resort and ask their policy in case it has changed.

Raffles actively promote day use of their pool.
