Cost effective eating option's In Denarau for family's

Hi there, can anybody give us some advice on some cost effective family eating option's In Denarau. We are staying at the Radisson for 4 nights after staying on Mana and as we are on holiday there is no cooking to be done!! We are traveling as a family of 4 adults and 4 kids (10-14) so eating out can add up pretty fast. We are definitely keen on eating one night at Hard Rock Cafe to experience the atmosphere but would love some other more cost effective eating option's. Also what breakfast options are available outside of the resorts as we are not always keen on big breakfasts?? Thanks for any advice/suggestions. Roll on June!!

Cheers Barry

ps any advice on day trips on the mainland would be welcomed also

Do not leave Fiji unless you eat at Tu's Place in Martintar. Huge servings, a very extensive menu and they use fresh herbs and spices. Prices are very reasonable. Their fish and chips are to die for. The best restaurant in Nadi by far!

Hi Themadgies,

Cheaper breakfasts, sandwiches, rolls etc can be found at a little group of shops near The Sheraton. If you turn left out of The Radisson (on the road not the beach) it’s a very short walk.

There’s also Mama’s Pizza, the Bread shop & a Takeaway Chicken shop at The Marina, as well as some reasonably priced restaurants.

Agree with AnniG, and there's Lulu's, Cardo's and kebab shop at the Port (all are very reasonably priced) and lots of cheaper dining options for families at the Denarau Golf club as well, which is less than a 5 minute walk from the Radisson.

Try The Terraces Apartments - opposite the Marina.

We were there last week and had fish and chips F$15 and crepes F$6 Both very good!!!!!!

We found all the hotels had very similar prices and the restaurants at the marina only marginally cheaper. (Take into account cost of Bula bus F$8 per person or taxi F$7 each way)

Beware of buffet meals at the Wyndham - cheaper than other hotel buffets but food very bland and basic

I have to agree with gran42, excellent crepes served by lovely ladies at the Terraces. Yum.

Try the chillie mud crab at Indigos at the port, very good indeed.

Perfect spot for families is Denarau Golf Club... SO CHEAP! Anywhere located at the port is cheaper than a the resorts for families. Lulus was our personal favourite but all were reasonably priced. We only ate at the hard rock one night as it was quite expensive.
