Ferry from Dumaguete to Siquijor

We will be arriving in Dumaguete in the late afternoon, staying one night, and want to take a ferry the next day to go to Siquijor. Where can I find ferry schedules, and do I need to purchase tickets in advance? If so, can I purchase them the evening before, and where?

I think we will be staying at Hotel Nicanor, they don't have a tour desk, so they are unable to get the tickets for us.

Thanks!

No need to book a ferry to Siquijor unless you are going there on a public holiday. For your peace of mind you can purchase tickets at the ferry terminal itself a day before, for your hotel you can walk or take a tricycle.

The terminal is walking distance from Hotel Nicanor. IMO a great location near the Baywalk,Shopping Centre and Cafe Laguna downstairs which serves a good selection of Filipino Dishes.

How late is the ferry building and ticket office open - we probably would not be able to get there until 5 or 6 pm. We are taking the ferry on Dec. 31, so it might be a busy day....

When are you leaving? Some days are busier than others. But there are at least three outfits plying the route. So no worries.

Dec. 30 to Jan. 1 are public holidays so it could be more busy than the usual.

Thanks Tommo - just what I needed! What is the different between business class and tourist class?

Business class is upstairs with larger airline type seats. When I travelled it was virtually empty. I thought great value for a few bucks extra.

They may be no ticket office open at 6pm, but just go to ferry port the day of your trip.

I usually use Jaylan or Delta, but several companies go to Siquijor. Just walk from Nicanor, is only 5 mins away and will give you a feel for the city and location of things
