Thomson trips

Has anyone been on the Capri or the Ischia trip with Thomson via Nastro Azzura hotel, they seem quite pricey but are they worth the money, we plan to do Pompeii and Vesuvius on our own but for ease was thinking Thomson for the Island trips. Does the cost cover all entry etc. or are there other costs to take in.

Any help would be great thanks

Hi,

We have just come home from the Nastro and we did Capri on our own and it was very easy, 9am shuttle bus into Sorrento, down to the port on the lift and few mins to the port and you will see a half circle of ticket booths were you get your tickets. fast ferry, E17.50 each person each way as we were told to by singles as you can then come home when you want, as you are stuck to a time if you buy a return. We caught the 9.50am ferry out and the 13.50 one back over, you buy the funicular tickets which is a small steep electric tram up to Capri(E1.80 pp each way)before you join the queue as you buy them from the op side of the road but it is all very very easy to do! We are glad that we went, but very glad that we didn't do the Thomson trip as we didn't think it was as nice as we had imagined it to be, when we came back down on the funicular the queues for it were massive so it was a good thing we went early, The ferry trip over is great and we stood at the back as it was open rather than sitting indoors. Enjoy!!!!!
