Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced place to eat lunch near Selinunte (e.g., in Marinella di Selinunte)? Thanks.
I had a fabulous seafood meal for not very much at a plain restaurant on the seafront that had a wooden deck over the water, but unfortunately, I don't remember the name. I think it was Da-Someone-or-other: Da Pietro, Da Paolo, Da Vittorio...
Or go a few kilometres further to Porto Palo di Menfi. The one to go to there is definitely called Da Vittorio.
Though Da Vittorio Porto Palo di Menfi is open for lunch every day, it would be a huge detour to its location in Porto Palo from Selinunte. At the end of the road and located on the beach Da Vittorio has a beautiful setting, but it's not worth the detour.
Enjoy lunch in Marinella di Selinunte at Baffo’s Selinunte Mare. There's also Baffo’s Castle on the S.S. 115 DR as you approach Selinunte and Marinella di Selinunte. Both locations are open for lunch every day beginning at noon.
Thank you. All good advice and suggestions.
These are really good spots for lunch in Marinella - So near the ruins, but also local and in the seaside town.
A bit late, but,
some of the best food that I have ever ever eaten was at Da Vottorio, porto palo di Menfi...fantastic!
and the wine
try Planeta wine, from the local vinyard and famous all over the world.
I think you can visit them
Unfortunately, I can’t agree about Da Vottorio – At the end of an unpaved road, the views over the beach are stunning, but the food is inconsistent…..
Planeta is very much worth the visit – Enjoy lunch and tasting at the Planeta winery in Sambuca di Sicilia….
Are you going soon or in the spring?
