AT&T cell phone reception

We will be traveling to the Outer Banks for the first time this fall and staying in Nags Head, but checking out the whole area while we are there. We have AT&T phones and need to keep in touch with home. Their coverage map shows coverage in most areas, but I would like to hear from people that have been there.

Works every where except on Ocracoke, You can get a signal at the ferry docks but as you drive south from there you will loose it .

I hope to be there in the fall too.

I have AT&T phones and they work great except in two places. Ocracoke, as already mentioned, and west of Manteo between Columbia and Manteo. Once you get here they work everyplace else.

Thanks for the info. It's good to know. Now I just have to be patient while waiting for the fall to get here!
