Does it matter June of July

We are planning a trip to Outer Banks and decided to come the end of June but would it matter (traffic, weather, people) to come the second week of July. I know prices are the same.

July is more crowded than June, but how much would it really matter is somewhat subjective. If you are going to Corolla or Hatteras then the period in July will be noticeable more crowded as those two lanes roads back up on Saturday.

We'll be in Nags Head. Is the water warmer in July?

Here is link to average water temperatures:

Just a few degrees higher in July. We always enjoyed June-somewhat fewer crowds and beautiful weather. On average a little less rain in June too.
