Hi all. My family- adult daughters, their men, my husband - have talked me into joining them to do the crossing this weekend. Now I'm getting a tad nervy! I'm okay re fitness- I think- but I'm a middle-aged bumble-foot with an aversion to heights. For some reason- stupidity- I didn't realise that there would be ridges and rock faces to climb. Just how high, how exposed and how terrifying is this likely to be? Are there any other clumsy old ladies with height phobias who have done it- without tranquillisers?!!Or should I sit back in the nice little holiday house we've booked and maybe bake scones and heat up the cocoa? All advice gratefully received!
I should add, in all seriousness, that the rest of them are quite experienced and we realise the necessity for proper clothing, etc.Edited: 25 February 2013, 08:40
