The beach at hamanasi is a good swimming beach. You could snorkel there but you would see very few fish and no coral. To really enjoy snorkeling in Belize you should go by boat out to the barrier reef where you will see fantastic corals and the colourful tropical fish. Hamanasi has their own boats and on site dive shop, but you could also arrange your own snorkel tours with local tour operators in the village.

The cave trips offered are probably at Ian Anderson's, possibly Jaguar Paw and are real cave tubing.

Their beer is $8BZE, but if you go into the village it will be $3-4BZE.

The only add on charges I am aware of are the 9% room tax required by Belize law for all licensed lodging and a gratuity, which is divided among the employees.
