Tours from Hilton Papagayo

Anyone recently done tours in this area? I am interested in Ziplining and a boat cruise where we can see some of the local wildlife and forest. Looking for a reputable company that offers great service. Couldn't find anything on the safety of the canopy tours. Anybody?

We just got back from Costa Rica and did two tours youre looking for. We used Mainor at www.tours-your-way.com. We did the mega combo tour, and the river boat tour. The mega combo zip lining was awesome, the guides professional and everything seemed very safe and secure. On the river tour we saw lots of crocs, monkeys and birds. I would HIGHLY recommend his tours as they were very affordable and our tour guide was amazing. We also used his company to transport to and from the airport. Feel free to message us if you want more details about our trip.

We stayed at the Hilton last week. Though we did not do any tours from the Hilton (as we were staying in Arenal for a few days afterwards for several tours).

Swiss Travel has an office on site.

We had reached out to Vargas tours before we left and they sent a packet via e-mail and will pick you up in front of the resort.

Then there is Costa Rica Issy Tours. http://www.costaricaissystours.com/

A rep walks the beach and sell his tours to guests. Prices are cheaper than the others, and we heard several people took advantage of his tours/prices.

We had a vehicle, so we did do a Canopy Tour. We went to Witches Rock Canopy Tours. It is about a 30 minute drive. 11 platforms, great guides and super safety conscious. Highly recommended.

Costa Rica Issy's Tours has a representative (Was Michael in December 2010) that comes to the Hilton Papagayo beach every morning about 8:30-9:30. Michael can arrange for anything you want to do; most accommodating. We used Issy's in December 2010 and will use them when we return in March 2011. You will not be disappointed.

We use Central American Tours, they did an amazing job on every tour we took. There are several canopy tours in the area and they work with the best ones. For the boat cruse you should do Palo Verde.

I did not feel safe buying tours from someone at the beach.

Here is their web site www.centralamericantours.net

We just used Tours Papagayo JC for several excursions. Wonderful service, great guides, personalized . an A++. www.site.tourspapagayo.com -- they are also rated #1 or #2 if you go to the 'things to do" in Papagayo - link on left side of the trip advisor page.
