Singles Resort Costa Rica

We are looking for a resort on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica geared toward singles and night life. Do not want a resort full of families.

Yikes! Not really much in the way of resorts this side of the country. Hotels are mainly small and often family run. You might find the Pacific is more for you.

No resorts on the Caribbean. It's a few rustic rental houses, boutique hotels, bed and breakfasts and cabinas/hostels/campgrounds.

The Four Seasons on the northern Pacific (Guanacaste) coast is probably as close as you're going to come to a singles resort in Costa Rica. They don't prohibit children but it's so expensive that fewer families can afford it.

How many rooms are you talking about here? Banana Azul in Puerto Viejo doesn't allow kids under 16, but its small (like 13 or 14 rooms only I think). There's not a ton of adults only resorts in Costa Rica but some areas are better than others for nightlife, etc. If you have a larger group of 20+ rooms you could look at a buyout of some of the smaller hotels on the Caribbean, like Totem Hotel, but there's nothing over 30 rooms in the area. You'll want to be around Puerto Viejo where there are plenty of restaurants and surfer bars, etc.

The RIU had the rowdiest scene I've ever encountered at a big resort. Large charters coming in, with a mix of singles and families.

You also might consider choosing a town like Tamarindo, which has a lively scene. Could stay at Tamarindo Diria or Pasatiempo and find a lively scene, both at the hotel and within easy walking distance.

If you're looking for a beach AI resort for singles, Costa Rica probably not the best place, honestly. Mexico (Riviera Maya through Cancun) or Puerto Rico probably a better option.

At the Caribbean side of our counry...it is a nice hotel Le Camaleon...is a REAL hotel...not a old house with bunch old beds and fans...and funny people!!

Le Camaleon even that is not SINGLES only is maybe one of the best around Puerto Viejo...

You can also check Gecko Lodge...great place...great decent owners...also located around Puerto Viejo...
