Nest Apartments, Faliraki

Has anyone stayed at these apartments as I cannot find anything about them on tripadvisor? Would be interested to see some reviews or to hear personal experiences. May be they are new or something. Holiday has just been transferred to them so anxious to hear any reports, whatever.

Thank you.

The Nest was built a couple of years ago, so not new.

The are on the road that leads to rear of Sun Palace hotel.

About 15 mins. walk to the beach & 30 mins. to Faliraki centre

Just wondering how you enjoyed your holiday at the Nest Apartments in Faliraki last year? Was there any loud music heard late into the night from Faliraki itself? Only we've had a bad experience before now with a disco opposite our hotel, being extremely loud until kick out time - somewhere between 5 and 6am!!!

We're also considering an all inclusive option but like the idea of self catering to eat out at different places. How did you find the cost of eating out and drinks?

Many thanks for any info you can provide.

Lisa

The main nightlife in Faliraki is miles away from these apartments so no you won't hear any noise from it

Just got back from a week long stay in these apartments. quite alot to say about them.

Good points.

1. They were very cheap

2. They were pretty quiet, (not near noisey roads or clubs etc)

3. 5 a side astroturf football pitch

Bad Points

1. On arrival we have to wait about 2 hours to get a room

2. other guests were leaving as they'd had things stolen from there room

3. the food is of poor quality and the menu is terrible

4. no draught beer, only small cans of aaoa

5. Air con in 8 euros a day and is very much needed

6. the buildings are very dated, in need of repair and a coat of paint

7. bathroom taps poured water onto the floor

8. several rooms had complained about doors not locking properly

9. other guests left and paid elsewhere because of how bad this place was

10. the sunlounger i slept on at the beach was far more compfy than the beds

11. tell people where your staying and they either laugh or say "oh god"

12. the pool has broken tiles and dirt in it, also there was the odd dead cockroach.

We decided to stay as we just needed the place for a bed and being a lads holiday not getting in until 8 or 9 most mornings then being up at 11 it wasnt worth the hassle or expense of moving hotels. i would not stay here again, but we did not let it ruin our holiday. you pay peanuts and you dont expect much, but this was poor even for the £19 a week we paid each.

We can't understand why these apartments have any stars! It's totally different than the description or pictures advertised and it's totally misleading. Everything is terribly rundown, the electrics are unsafe and the balcony was coming away from the wall, the drainage grate in the bathroom was shocking and if a child happened to put their foot in it they would really hurt themselves. On our arrival there was some half eaten pizza on the floor leading up to the apartment which looked like it had been there for days. When the owner showed us to our room he told us it was 8 euro per day for air con, there was a ceiling fan in the bedroom and we asked did it work and he told us not to use it because it was unsafe!! It was probably lovely when first built but unfortunately now they are shabby, unsafe and smelly. The pool wasn't very nice and my partner said if we did have a dog he wouldn't let it go in it, the kids area wasn't as described and would be unsuitable for children. We found what seemed to be rat dropping in the cultery tray and the cheese grater....this should have been out with the rubbish many years ago!!! We spent one night there and checked out along with 4 other groups of people, who we didn't know, but got to know well by the end of our holiday by just exchanging our experiences about the digs. We all ended up at the Tsambika Hotel which was just across the road and it was only then did we start relaxing and enjoying our holiday. Thank you all at Tsambika. Hopefully the other holiday makers will share their experiences with other because they need to know the true facts. DON'T GO!! If you haved booked these apartments cancel and go elsewhere because the other guest stories are awful too! We paid £213.14 for a 10 night stay there!!!
