Hospitals and what they are like there.

Because we had a bad experience of the hospital in Zante.

We would like some imformation from anyone who has had to use the Hospitals in Rhodes as travelling with two young children next year.

I can only comment on the local hospital as my son got a bad ear infection..

Had an excellent experience.. Was seen in the children's department by a doctor after only a 20 min wait, and a prescription given.

They did not want to see my passport or EU health card. And the medication came to 30 euros so did not bother even to claim.

The pharmacies in Rhodes can give out antibiotics as well. And are very helpful.

I would second that last post. I broke my leg on Rhodes some years ago and the hospital was wonderful. X-rays, plaster, crutches and pain relief all came to £32 so we didn't claim. The pharmacies are also excellent.
