Whale watching tour

Hi all, I will be in the Northern part of Costa Rica next week. I really want to do a whale watching tour, a good one. Where should I go, and are there any tours that leave in the late morning or early afternoon? It will be a long drive. If not, where should I stay for 1 night? I will be making this day trip on my own.

Thomas the DE for the area is the one you need for advice here. Send him a PM or he may be along in a bit. He knows all the tour operators in his area and has good info. Sit tight.

Thanks Inca, for me one of the best operators in the Uvita are for whale watching is either Bahia Adventures http://www.bahiaaventuras.com or Dolphine tours: http://www.dolphintourcostarica.com/

Of course there is no guarantees with wild animals in nature

During this time of the year...whales are around ...the thing is where?

If you said you will be at the Northern Pacific side of our country...can you be a little more specific and let us all know where? In that way we may can help you better!

Great advice by Inca and Thomas...both of them great people...and they do know our country...Inca knows a lot about Costa Rica wild life!

I will be staying at the four seasons near liberia. I would love to find something closer since I will be trying to drive to Uvita on my own.

that brings me to another question, how is the drive from Liberia to Uvita? how long is it and is there a bettwe way than driving? ferry?

thank you for the advice!
