stone crabs? steamed shrimp? cocktails?

I knows its the tail end of season but is there a good place for stone crabs on island or a seafood market to get them if its way more affordable?

Also, any seafood markets that steam ur shrimp for u?

Any favorite locations for cocktails or a favorite cocktail for the area?

I'm getting so excited!!!

Moore's Stone Crab on Long Boat Key is the place for Stone Crab, take the

first left after you cross onto LBK southbound, the street is Broadway, Moore's is at the end of the street on the right side and shares a parking lot

with Mar Vista, another great spot. Publix Markets will steam your shrimp for FREE. For a great spot for a cocktail, try the outdoor bar at "The Olde Salty Dog," it is the first left after you cross the bridge at New Pass heading into Saint Armands Circle, the Salty Dog is on the left side overlooking New Pass.

I would check out Star Fish Fishing village for the stone crab and Publix is definately your best bet for shrimp, the usually have them on sale and New port is right, ask them to steam them and the will gladly do it for free. We ask for them to go heavy on the Old Bay season, gives them a nice flavor but they will also do them in a lemon butter which is very good.

We like having cocktails at Bridgetender, nice open bar and the cocktails are reasonable, it's located on Bridge Street where there is also a sports bar and the local hang-out, the Drift-In. The Drift-in is really cheap and makes the best white russian I have ever had but they allow smoking (do not serve food) and you can only stay in there for a short while but it is very interesting with colorful characters. Definatley worth checking out.

Have fun

Had the Stone Crab Claw appetizer at Starfish in Cortez a couple of nights ago.

Had four medium claws for $10.99. They were delicious!!
