Dolphin cruise OR Snorkeling

Hi Folks,

Will be in AMI for 3 nights in early April. We wanted to know about any reputable places that offer Dolphin sighting cruises on the island? Also, does anyplace offer snorkeling equipment to rent? Or perhaps will the water still be too cold to do this in April? Where are the best places to try some snorkeling?

For Snorkling, you need reefs. Florida doesn't really have them (like the caribbean etc) just in the keys, and one off Palm Beach county. So for having a snorkle, jus tpick up a mask and fins at Walmart on your way to the island. Near rocks will be the best place.

Lots of different Dolphin trips, incl ones at Mote Aquarium.

It really isn't like snorkeling a reef, but we still love to snorkel in AMI.

This place rents gear and does trips:

There's some good local snorkeling off of Point-of-Rocks on Siesta Key. Local dive shops can tell you how to get there.
