Which part

Hi all we went to st Armands Circle, it was perfect for us!

However we want to visit again next year but a different part! , we would like an area where we can walk to restaurants etc and near the beach, we have a child that has a walking disability so have a wheelchair!

Which part us best for us?

Either end of the island is more walkable. The area around Pine Ave., in the city of Anna Maria has a lot of cute shops, several restaurants, and a nice stretch of beach. It is the quieter end of the island. For more busy/commercial the area around Bridge Street is also a nice walkable area. This is in the city of Bradenton Beach.

We just returned and stayed in the Holmes Beach area. We preferred it over Bradenton. We also visited St Armond's a few different times. We had originally found it when we stayed in Siesta Key. We found that we drove everywhere or took the free trolley. Not a lot in walking distance. While we enjoyed the island, our next stay in Florida will be in Siesta Key or Longboat Key. Just a bit more upscale which is what we prefer.

If you stay in the village at Siesta you can walk to things. The village is not on the Gulf. There is very little walkable on Longboat.
