I am going to visit Norway this May and right now compiling my itinerary. Due to time limit, I need to make a choice between the Glacier National Park in Josdal and Geirangerfjord in the north.
I am quite looking forward to a Glacial walking tour in Josdal Glacier National Park, however as it will be early May (around 13 May), I am afraid that a glacier walking tour may not be available by then.
My other option is to take the Hurtigruten cruise from Bergen to Gerianger, then take bus + train to Stavanger. However, I noted that the famous golden route will not be open until June, thus the transportation may be not very convenient.
I hope your guys can give me some advices on the following:
1. How much of a chance do I have for making a glacier walking tour on 13 May?
2. Is it a good idea to visit Geirangerfjord in middle May by taking into account the weather condition, the convenience level of transport and the fact that I will visit Sognfjord first?
3. For Geirangerfjord tour, how can I travel from Geiranger to Dombås (from there I can take train to Stavange)? I have cheeked the bus schedule on NOR-WAY Bussekspress, but cannot locate the itinerary.
Thanks a lot for your advices.
