Roughly what rate from euros to sterling are the ATMs giving just now?

1.21 but your bank or card issuer will charge a fee that will drop the actual rate a bit. But it's safer than carrying vast amounts of cash with you.

Thanks for the reply,

Still getting over 1.20 in the UK so not much difference.

Try getting a pre paid Caxton fx euro card.

They give a good exchange rate when you load it from your bank account and there are no fees for withdrawing cash from ATMs or paying restaurant / hotel bills.

Cubsur has hit the nail on the head. Worth paying a few extra pence instead of having large amounts of cash to worry about.
