Is it easy to get around Ibiza by bus?

We are staying in Can Sanso apartments for 10 days in August and like to get out and about a bit rather than sitting by the pool all day every day.

We definitely plan to visit Ibiza Town in the evening - how far is it from Santa Eulalia on the bus and how frequent are the buses?

Also, are there any water parks in Ibiza - my sons are 14 and 17?

Would it be expensive for the 4 of us to get to Formentera? Is this like a paradise island with not much on it?

hello it is around 30 mins on the bus to Ibiza 1.95 euro single fare they run around every 30 mins. You can also go to Es Canar for 1.50 single fare around 20 mins. You can catch the Es Canar bus near the Can Sanso appt the bus for Ibiza you can get from Santa Eulalia the bus Terminus is just off the main square. Have a great holiday. We went to Formentera on the Aqua bus from Ibiza it was 19 euros return fare it is a beautiful island but very expensive for drinks and food unless you purchase from the supermarket and we went 2 weeks ago and the sun was scorching down and there is very little shade so would imagine in August it would be unbearable. have a great holiday

There are also regular buses from Santa Eulalia to San Antonio which is worth a trip and perhaps to take in a 3hr or half day boat trip out to Es Vedres from there.

There are a few buses each day to Portinatx so a day out to the beaches there is pleasant trip (but there will be only 1 or 2 choices for return times ealry evening) The timetables are all avaialble at the bus station in Sta Eulalia too.

There is a daily boat trip to Formentera for St Eulalia but take shade and water if you;re planning a day on the beach. Not that cheap though.

There is a good Waterpark is in Playa D'en Bossa but as far as I am aware, buses from St Eulalia don't go direct there so that is one worth considering an excursion booking for if you don't have a hire car. You can book onto Thomson excursions even if you don't travel with them these days.

Answer to your question is very easy. Number 13 runs 2 or 3 times an hour into Ibiza Town, only about 6 times direct to San An, but again easy to do with a change in Ibiza Town.

For the water park in Playa den Bossa, you need to get the number 14 bus from ibiza Town.

For family of 4 you need really to get a bus card, they cost 3 euro's and you have to charge the card with at least 15 euro;s, however, card prices are a least 40% cheaper then paying cash.

Not sure if you can use on the airport bus's.

From late at night the disco bus's run they are just a late night bus service, forget the name, we use all the time, therefore 24/7 service to Santa Eulalia from the major places.
