I suggest you stay at mirissa since you are concern about an uncrowded beach. :-)

If their own site is correct Dionis is in a very quiet part of U'tuna (well at weekdays, many weekends the whole area gets blasted away by loud speakers from parties at the hilltop). About 10 mins walk to the beach, the western part of it which is best,

All the best,

Why should anyone contact you via email ? If you can help out the poster, reply here so everyone else can benefit and maybe even add their own two cents...

Unawatuna is the first name in mind for alot of tourists so it should be crowded but hey, unawatuna and mirrissa are both close( not that close though haha )

Try to stay away from trouble at mirrissa because I've had compliant from my friends that there were creeps but I guess its a normal thing when some locals sees a tourist alone

We loved Unawatuna - great beach with lots of restaurants, shops and bars right on the beach. We haven't been to Mirissa so I can't really compare, but we would probably go there next time. If you can maybe stay a few nights in both?
