Hi

You do not need any phone numbers for taxi's. There always plenty of taxis witing at the airport to take you to Stalis.

What time will you land?

HI there

As you come out of the airport turn right and the taxi rank is there - if you want a cheaper transfer then have a look at either the transfer companies A2B transfers, etc etc or its very straight forward to catch the bus too, the bus stop just across the road :-)

Hi

Thinking of booking apartments in Stalis so interested in cost and practicality of different ways of transferring. Travel republic quote £40 for two which seems a lot. Mg100 survey - you mention that the bus stop is just across the road. How expensive/ practical is it to catch the bus from there to Stalis?

Last year the bus fare from Heraklion airport to Stalis was 3 euro 60 each and it won't be much different this year.

Yes, the bus stop is close to the terminal. As you come out of arrivals you can see it - across the other side of the road that curves round the front of the terminal and slightly to the right as you look out.

Buses are reliable and regular and there are 6 bus stops along the main road as it passes by Stalis (bus stops no. 25-30). We always use the service bus for our airport transfer.

No. Depending on the time of year, the last bus will be at the airport at about 2310 - 2315 at the latest. It leaves Heraklion at 2300.

We have just come back and noted for future use that all the buses call into the airport on the Hersonissos, Malia, Agios Nicholaos route. It would not really take much longer than a taxi and the fare would be as quoted above, you would of course, need to know how far your accommodation was from the main road and which stop to get off.

We used Resorthoppa and although we had a few pick-ups to make on our was back we thought it was good value for money. It would cost approximately £10pp return for the return trip, they also do a speedy shuttle.

Hi there

Update on the location of the taxi rank at Herkalion airport - they have moved it...but to just the otherside of the door as you come out of arrival door, it to the left now and not the right :-
