We are here now, and we haven't seen a cloud in the sky since we arrived on Tuesday. It has been around 35 degrees :-D

Hi there

Statistically, July is hotter than August, but it'll still be hot in August anyway. From a visitor's point of view, I'd rather go in early July as the kids won't have finished school. August is usually heaving.

Hi,

Only real difference weatherwise is that sea might be slightly warmer in August but GB's points are more important!

Hi Jill

We have always been to Kefalonia at the end of July or August and the weather is hot but beautiful! I understand completely what GB says about it being busier but I just wanted to say that, although I am sure that it is quieter earlier in July (not that I'm bitter I can't go then!!), it is not the sort of busy that you can't get a beach spot etc - although I must say we stay in Skala. It never feels really overcrowded to me even in high season which is why I return year after year. Hope this helps

Rarely a cloud in the sky, temp in high 20's/30's, beach fairly busy but not packed. Traffic light but we don't go far to judge.
