Ferries to Dublin

Which ferry service is best to Dublin for pedestrians? I don't care where in England or Scotland we board. We won't have a car.

All the routes mentioned in the page take foot passengers except for Liverpool to Dublin.

In particular a SailRail ticket which gives all in ferry and rail travel from stations in England, Scotland

and Wales to stations in Ireland is good value. The usual route to Dublin is from Holyhead to Dublin Port or Holyhead To Dun Laoghaire. The latter route is seasonal though Dun Laoghaire is a destination in its

Own right well worth exploring. Hope this helps and that you enjoy your visit.

The best ,shortest and most usual ferry route to Dublin is the Holyhead/Dublin route, but Holyhead is in Wales, would this suit you or does it have to be Scotland or England. I dont think there is a ferry from England .
