The Belen de Chocolate is made by Galleros Artesanos, and is the largest nativity scene in Spain, made entirely of chocolate. For 2011, the theme was Malaga and this included small scale replicas of Malaga Cathedral, the Alcazaba, the Roman Theater, Gibralfaro Castle and the Plaza de Toros. It took 7 pastry makers four months to create the scene, which covered a space of 52 square meters. It used 1400 kg of chocolate to make the belen. Every year a new city is featured. There are also lifesize figures of the Royal Family (King Juan Carlos, Queen Sofia, Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia) made of chocolate. Other figures are those of the late singer Rocio Jurado and the popular TV announcer Juan y Medio.
