Fishing

Hi,

we are staying from 3rd May to 7th May, does anyone know if myself & 3 friends would be able to rent some fishing gear for a day? never done it befor abroad or over here but av always fancied giving it a try in a sunny location. Dont want to go on a boat also as i can't swim lol..

you can buy a hook, line and sinker for less than a euro which works perfectly well to catch bream and mullet around the rocks or jetties. or why not try a day out on a boat, the good ship barbados does daily fishing trips from san an harbour -just look out for their information board down there

Just be careful - fishing in Spain requires you to have a fishing license and the powers that be started to enforce it here in San An toward the end of last season

Thats the main problem you have to go through to Ibiza town with passport- witnessed a few tourists told to pack up their gear toward end of last season and one guy who was here for eight weeks was regarded as local and fined 150 euro on the spot - they getting tougher on locals re licensing and think they are now moaning. incidentally it is illegal this year in spanish waters to fish for mackerel so don´t use feathers
