Albergo La Sirenella is located directly on the beach . There are at least 4decent restaurants in Sperlonga . Can't remember their names . Not too many things to do in Sperlonga itself . The museum at the villa of the Emperor Tiberius has some fabulous statues and relics discovered when the road tunnels were being made in the 1950 s . The old town of Fondi 5kms away is well worth a visit . Otherwise relax and enjoy . Mike D

Long time ago now since we were there...

... but we found the Hotel Aurora quite wonderful - twice!

Wasn't difficult to travel around on the various bus lines, with some interesting places within reach:

And you might even go over to one of the Pontine islands:

I can't recollect the names of any restaurant we went to - but presumably they're in the TA listings:

I think 2 or 3 days maximum in Rome with a baby .we have stayed in Hotel Pace Helvezia near Piazza Venezia . It is a small 3 star hotel .Very central ,clean and budget priced . The staff are very friendly and helpful . It is also not too far from the major sights and close to the train station . If you are taking the train to Sperlonga , the station is called Fondi/Sperlonga . Takes about one hour and 15 minutes . There is a bus from the station to Sperlonga about 10 minutes . Sometime there is a taxi waiting but not always perhaps the hotel could arrange pick up if necessary . The hotel I would recommend Is Albergo La Sirenella . The hotel is situated right on a beautiful safe sandy beach and two sun beds and a large umbrella for shade is included in the price .the staff are very accommodating with young children and the food is simple Italian home cooking . It is also the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in . Good luck Mike D

You are welcome .. Just be aware that neither hotels are Hilton or Mariot type Hotels .they are 3 star family hotels ,so facilities are appropriate with that level . We stayed in the Rome hotel last May for the only time but have stayed in La Sirenella many times over the last 20 years when our children were young and also alone . The family who own and run in the hotel have many young children and babies and are used to any child problems . Enjoy your holiday . Mike
