Couple of RDC Questions for First-Timer

1) Is the RDC right in Bucerias, i.e. just walk out of the resort?

2) Does the hotel have any rooms with a separate bedroom (suites)? What are they called, so I'll know what to look for when booking?

Thanks.

The RDC has basic rooms that just have your bed (King or two Doubles) a small dresser with a tv, small table with two arm chairs. Nothing special just what a person needs also basic bathroom with large walk in shower area. No other type of rooms like suites, over in block 6 they do have adjoining rooms and some of those rooms have a small couch in them instead of the table and arm chairs.

Yes you are in bucerias and its about a 10 min walk to the centro market in bucerias.

Basically when booking you get two options beachfront or regular rooms .

We'll likely be going September 11th-ish for 2 weeks, or entire month of February 2011. It's up to "she who must be obeyed". ;-)

Thanks for the answers, folks.

I love the RD, but for a 2 weeker or more, I'd consider a condo in Bucerias (maybe a couple of blocks down from RD at Suites Costa Dorada? A full kitchen is nice to have after the one week mark.

Thanks for the input.

This is my 1st time to Mexico. having travelled to the DR and Cuba several times, I know that there (usually) the cost of airfare alone can equal the cost of an all-inclusive. Two or three weeks may be the break-even point.

Is Mexico different in that respect? Can you recommend a condo complex? Would I save much $$ on food?
