Caravan Sites

Can anyone recommend a tourer site in or near Rhayader? A few have come up when I've Googled but there are mixed reviews. We're looking for somewhere with nice shower facilities. An onsite playground is desirable but not essential.

Thanks

Try Wyeside camp site

It seems to fit your requirements. We have not stayed there for a while but if we were to stay in the area I would have no hesitation staying there again. Its right on the edge of town, just a short walk in, has a playground and is located next to the river.

Hope this helps

Support the above recommendation - and it is within walking distance of the town with pubs and small shops

Doldowlod Old station Caravan Park re-opened for tourers in 2013. Sensitively up-dated with spotless hot showers and toilets and grass or hard standing electric pitches it has a childrens area with swings and zip wire and is located 3 miles south of Rhayader just off the A40. It is highly recommended and costs £14 per pitch per night.
