Arthurs Pass to Akaroa

Again I appreciate all info given!!

We plan to stay 2 days (1 night) on Arthurs Pass (coming from Jacksons heading to Christchurch).

As I do not have a detailed map of info previously given re places to stop overnight in our motorhome (Cass Saddle Track/Greaneys Flat or Klondyke Corner) I am not sure how long it will take us to drive to Akaroa. Are the above onight stays closer to Jacksons or Christchurch?

The last time we visited Akaroa, it poured with rain and very misty. We could appreciate how beautiful it would be in clear weather in October. Any advice again appreciated!

From Arhur's Pass to Akaroa takes about 3 1/2 hours driving time, so add to that all stops and enjoy the drive

October is mid spring, so conditions are a tad unpredictable. However it is likely to be cool and frosty first thing followed by a clear day. There may be some snow on the very tops of the mountains in the AP area.

While it wont be hot it should be extremly pleasant.

Have a good look at the map. You don't need to come all the way into Christchurch and they are all good sealed roads. Take your time and enjoy the scenery as Coaster suggests.
