Barceló Fuerteventura Thalasso Spa

Staying at this hotel in August and wondered which is the best block to request. Have seen some previous posts saying that Block 3 is the quietest and gets most sun but does anyone know if they have standard rooms (which we have) in that block or is it just superior ones? Block 1 seems to be the one to avoid due to outside noise? Any information would be great. Thanks.

We have stayed at the Barcelo a few times and twice in Block 3 in a standard room, which we were delighted with. Lovely and quiet at night and sun in the late afternoon and evening. Only drawback is that it's a bit of a walk to Reception and the Restaurant but think it's the best block to stay in. They do have some superior rooms in block 3 too, which are the ones at the end of the block nearer to the beach.

we have stayed in block 2 but didnt care for that as it overlooked the kids play area and then last year we stayed in block 3 it was nicer . we had a back view not a pool view it was nice bust ask for a high floor . yes it is a treck to the bar/ resturant area but ok as you can walk down the stairs and across the pool area .

Cheers for responding, much appreciated, looks like block 3 gets the vote.

The 'bit of a walk' is about 3 minutes from block 3 to the restaurant.

Great, bit of exercise is probably a good idea before hitting the restaurant anyway! I understand from other posts that they are happy for you to swap dinner for lunch if you want to so expect that we will do that a number of times to try out other restaurants in town - seems to be plenty of options.

Sorry to gate crash this post, but we are staying at this hotel in September with an almost 2 year old and a 6 month old baby. I've heard that the resort is quite small, but it does have a supermarket. As we are staying for 2 weeks, we are going to have to buy some nappies at some point. Does anyone know if the local supermarket sells them? Also, is there a microwave in the buffet restaurant for guests to use (would need to warm baby's food up)?
