Kamari is a predominantly UK and European package resort with lots of good quality hotels, bars and restaurants.

It's built along a black/grey volcanic grit/pebbled beach, which is quite uncomfortable to walk on, so shoes will be needed.

It's quite a busy place with most of the bars and restaurants on the pedestrianised strip facing the beach.

There are plenty of topics on Kamari on the forum - have a read through some of them, but if you've got any specific questions, please come back and ask.

We stayed at this hotel, a few years ago, while attending a family wedding in Kamari.

I did post a review about the hotel, which was favourable. It is a small hotel, with a pool. It was well situated, just a stroll from the bars and restaurants, but in a quiet position,, if returning to Kamari we would stay there again.

However unlikely to return, as Kamarii isn't really the type of resort we would choose. It mainlyy consists of a strip of bars and restaurants on the front near to an extremely busy and uncomfortable pebbly/stone beach. Some of the restaurants were good, some not so good, one end of the strip being a bit more laid back, had more of a traditional Greek feel, other parts could have been any Euro resort.

There was a good bus service for seeing other parts of the Island, and we enjoyed the boat taxi to Perissa.

Although, not being what we expected, that is just my opinion and plenty of people love the resort, it all depends what you are looking for, and there was certainly nothing awful about it.
