Retired couple and adult kids (30s). Ideas?

Planning a family trip but with no kids (Youngest in group is 34)

We thought Berkshires might be a nice 2-3 day trip.

Can anyone point me to a top 10 list of ideas?

We're really not the "museum types"

We're probably more the hiking/scenery type.

We also like learning about history (but do not like OVERLY souvenir shop tourist traps)

What are your must sees?

Any desirable central location/town to spend 3 days in?

You could start by looking to the right of this page and clicking on"What is there to do in the Berkshires?" That should help to narrow it down.

I did click that. It was a terse little thread with 3 posts.

You're right! There's very little in that thread, but it does have a link to a very good resource. http://berkshires.org/

That was the whole point of the thread if you read it. The link has tons of information and encourages people to do some research for themselves. They can then come back and ask some specific questions. I had already given the OP the link, no need really to repeat it.
