Visiting White Mountain on 1 Year Anny

Hi - my wife and I will be visiting the White Mountains area for 6 nights in the month of June. We were looking for suggestions on the best places to stay (B&B's would be great), amazing places to eat (and get a good beer) & great things to do. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks again

This is a great place to stay: www.adairinn.com.

Nearby, the Woodstock Inn is a great place for beer and a decent place for food.

Never sure what best is because too many great options throughout state. Why don't you start with the lodging pages here, maybe look at select registry, etc. With all due respect to the half dozen regular s, i don't think any of us have been everywhere and we may have our faves, but that doesn't mean we know them all.

John,

The White mtn area is large and incorporates many villages and towns. It would help if you could pick a location in which to explore from. Also prices vary so if you have a budget, that may dictate accommodations.

Thanks for the info. I think we are looking at a few places in particular - North Woodstock and Conway.

Look at the village of Jackson. Great B&Bs, Inns, and a few taverns as well. Depending on your budget, choices can include: Snowflake Inn http://www.thesnowflakeinn.com/ , the Wentworth Inn http://www.thewentworth.com/ and a few others. Options for eating...Red Fox Pub http://redfoxpub.com/ , Wildcat Tavern http://wildcattavern.com/

In North Conway, you could check out Moat Mountain Smokehouse and Brewing Co http://www.moatmountain.com/ . Whie Mountain Hotel http://www.whitemountainhotel.com/

Also check out the Riverside Inn as well. http://www.riverside-inn-bed-breakfast.com/ Beautiful.

Great things to do.....Gaze at the wonderful scenery. Hike. Walk. Enjoy each other's company. Celebrate your anniversary.

There are many b and b/inn type places. Trouble with recommending one over another is that it is such a personal choice. some people don't like one that is too small, others want breakfast whenever not when the innkeeper wants to serve, rooms are decorated differently (modern.antiques), the buildings may be new or older, etc. And then there is the issue of en suite or hall baths or whirlpools or just a shower....

So, I really think you need to check out the websites and they all have a website with room pics and then ask. You need to tell us specifically what you are looking for. If you look in North Conway, Bartlett, Glen, Jackson, you should be able to find on that you are looking for. Same on the west side in N Woodstock and up toward Franconia.
