warm enough in mid-feb? where to stay?

hi, we are considering a beach trip to florida with our young kids for mid-feb. is it warm enough in the air and water to want to swim this time of year (in the ocean and pools)? we were thinking south seas resort on captiva as it sounds quiet with a good pool for kids and is right on the beach (and offers kitchens) but if there are other recommendations, we'd love to hear them.

February water temp in the Gulf will be high 60's

Weather averages for February drop into the 50's at night and go up into the high 70's during the day

If the temps get over 80 degrees and the pool is heated you should be able to take a swim. We have been in the pool lately and it is only January.

If you are considering Captiva you might want to post on the Captiva board you might get a little more feedback there as far as the South Seas resort.

Or have you looked into the Pink Shell resort on FMB? great place for kids.

Enjoy!!!
