Saturday to Saturday Only Rentals

For all you renters out there. How often is a Saturday to Saturday ONLY rental option a deal killer when looking for a vacation rental?

It isn't the norm where I have rented in t he past, or if it was I usually chose elsewhere. Mainly because overseas flights being expensive, I pick a different day of the week to lower costs. And I quite often want a rental for say, 9 days instead of 7.

But Sanibel is so popular, some can rent many many weeks, and Sat-sat is easier to fit in with other rentals and get a higher occupancy rate. but it does put a huge strain on cleaning crews for changeovers, so some owners allow it.

For our Ft Myers/Sanibel travels, we usually go during off-season when owners are more flexible about check-in and out. However, when kids were in school and we had to vacation during specific times of the year, we were always able to find someone who worked with us - if we needed something different, we went where we could get it. So I guess my answer is it would be a deal breaker if I couldn't make my plans work within the owner's rules.
