-Hike Larch Valley Trail/Sentinel pass

Days 7-9 Hike to Shadow Mountain Lodge

Day 9, After hike from Shadow Mountain, Drive to Radium Springs. Stop at Marble Canyon & Paint Pots if time.

Day 10- Husband will climb Kindersley Summit. Wife will relax and go to hot springs. Spend night at Radium Springs. (this is to allow an early morning start for hike)

Seriously, your itinerary looks fabulous! There's only a couple things that I should mention. At Lake Minnewanka - you can also rent a little tin boat with a motor! It's a fun alternative to the Cruise. Take a day to enjoy the Lake Minnewanka Road. There's some fabulous shot walks here and great places to picnic. I highly recommend an early morning walk around Johnson Lake (it only takes an hour) and a historic walk at Lower Bankhead (also an hour). Now if you want an awesome day hike in Banff - Corey Pass or Sunshine Meadows are the place to go. Google Images them! You'll see.

Also, I see no mention of Yoho in your itinerary. You'll want to make time for 2 things in Yoho: Emerald Lake and Takakkaw Falls. You can do it with as little as a half day, but you'll want a full day to appreciate! It's also a great hiking destination - you can take you're pick here of amazing hikes.

And lastly, after you hike out from Shadow Like (you're going to love it!) and start your drive in to Kootenay National Park. You're going to pass a place that has one of the best lunches in the region. Stop by Storm Mountain Lodge for lunch or coffee. It's on Highway 93 South, just 7km up the road. You'll pass it before you get to Marble Canyon and the Great Divide.

Please suggest itenary during last week of May for 7-9 days for 8 adults in the age group of 50. We prefer to motor it if that is a good idea.

Hi msanghvi ~

Please don't post your question many times on the forums. You will not really benefit by adding on to cindywv's question. And cindy will think you are offering her more advice for her travels. I think the other two questions you are asking will be enough.

msanghvi, have a look at the "Top Questions" section at the top right of this web page, specifically the second one in the list, which has a link to a compilation of trip reports. Read through a few of those; it will give you a good idea of what there is to do and see, and how other visitors have arranged their itineraries.

Please keep in mind that all of us posting here are TA users just like you ... we volunteer information about areas we know. Generally, we prefer it when people do a bit of research on their own, come up with a draft itinerary (like cindy did, above), and then post that for feedback... we'll help you "tweak" it. But without knowing more about you and your group and what you want out of your holiday, it's next to impossible to make any useful suggestions.
