Funjet Fun For Less 3.5 AI Riviera Maya

Hi,

My husband and I are going on FunJet's Fun For Less Riviera Maya, all inclusive deal, where the hotel is a surprise, but guaranteed to be at least 3.5 stars. We got a good deal and are flying first class, but now I'm a little nervous about what hotel we might get. Has anyone done this deal before? If so, what hotel did you get? How was it? I'd love any information you can share with me.

Thanks,

Amy

Hi.

We got our hotel assignment, Sandos Caracol Beach Resort & Spa (Riviera Maya). I've looked up their website, and it looks nice with 6 restaurants/9 bars. I think we did well getting this assignment. The FunJet agent asked us about our preferences and was very sweet and helpful. We leave on Friday the 25th of July for 6 nights. I'm excited!

One concern that I have is nightlife...does anyone know any good places to go? Maybe in Playa del Carmen? I've read that it's about 10 minutes away.

Has anyone stayed at this resort recently? I've read conflicting reviews and wonder about it.

Thanks,

Amy

You are so lucky you know in advance, Apple is not calling us until tomorrow, the day before we leave. I might try to call them now. Have fun and safe, happy traveling!!

How much do you save by doing this? Is it really worth it?

to be honestly truthful we had free airline tickets, we paid $567 per person including taxes for 7 nights AI at a 5 apple resort. We went to the same resort, same section last year and paid 999.99 with air. We thought we would be put in the cheaper 5 apple resort but I guess not , we are excited!

I booked a 5 Apple Square Deal from August 6th - August 17th 2008 and was just assigned to the Ocean Coral and Ocean Turquesa. Not the best but looks decent. Good luck!
