El Dorado Seaside Suites. Just returned. Kayaked (is that a word?) for the first time in my life. Water is so calm there. Highly recommend the resort.

WE are going to Soliman Bay, between Akumal and Tulum. Have not been there but from all I have heard, a great place. Might want to check it out. No big resorts but just small villas.

I have some info and maps if you are interested let me know.

They have a small reef from the beach to protect the beach area making it like a lake. Kayaks to go out to the reef (can also swim) and there are places to tie up your Kayak so you can snorkel.

I can tell you more about Soliman Bay when we return, but for now its just info I got from others.

Check this out....

This frequent traveler and regular poster really like this resort.

Especially the beach and the cove and the snorkeling.

We have stayed in Tankah, and Soliomn Bays. They are all awesome for snokling and kyaking. I always wake up before my husband and would kayak out to the reef and snorkel every morning as the sun was coming up...AMAZING! Akumal has more condos/hotels/restaurants but solimon and tankah bays are quiet and not crowded.

Dreams Puerto Aventuras and Catalonia Riviera Maya are on a nice cove with excellent snorkling and kyaking. Check them out. We have stayed at both and really liked them.
