Rosewood Mayakoba or Maroma Resort?

Planning a trip for DHs 40th bday and trying to decide between 2 hotels (no kids). Anyone have a preference between the 2 resorts?

Just from walking past them many times I would choose Maroma. More intimate, much nicer beach, more rooms on the water. Rosewood is elegant but has a corporate feel with their conference center and golf course and the resort is perpendicular to the ocean so many rooms remote and without a view.

Mrs. D keep in mind that neither of those resorts is adults only if that matters to you (unless you are talking about the Secrets Maroma Beach or the El Dorado Maroma).

I'd definitely choose Maroma.
