Thanks

We visited a couple of weeks ago- under new management.

Personally felt not as good as previous, and no free bread as there used to be, they offer you it then bill at the end!- Menu didnt appeal to us as much as last year. Saying that others may prefer this, each to their own!

Ate at mermaids a couple of years ago on one of our jaunts over to oceanic bar from Argassi and must say it was very good. But as you say changed hands and chefs may have changed as well.I will keep an eye on reviews as to wether we visit again.

Thanks very much for your replies. Glad it will still be there, was worried it would look run down if it wasn't there. Will give the new menu a try and review it. Cheers.

Let us all know. Had two great meals there last year . Back out in Kalamaki in Sept would like to know if it's gone downhill. Michaelos is still my favourite.

we were quite dissapointed too.

the food was good but we really enjoyed the vry low priced set meals that they used to do. free bread when you arrived, a 5 course meze starter and chicken stifado each all for €17 for the 2 of you. it was the cheapest & best meal but this time the food was good but it didn't stand out as being an outstanding place

Well we ate there last night and we were actually quite impressed! Staff were friendly and attentive, food was really nice, fresh & tasty. Price was pretty good too, 26euros for 1 starter, 2 mains & 2 drinks. Only criticism is the chairs, really uncomfortable, both left with back ache. Definitely worth a visit though. Will do a proper review when we get home.

Oh and the only restaurant we've been to where they didn't give you bread then charge for it. :)
